The Black Tigers 494th Fighter Wing New insignia This is the Black Tigers new insignia they have chg the Squadrons Name to the Black Cats Squadron they chg there name a year ago they have retired The Black Tigers Squadron. They now form the 494th Fighter wing.
The History Behind The Black Tigers!!!!! The Black Tigers started out in World War II. They was an escort for the 8th Bomber wing. They was successful in many operations of the war. They started out Flying British Spitfires until they was supplied with Mustangs. The Black Tigers have come along way from the days of WWII now they are Flying F-15 Eagles. So now now all of u know that there was a Black Tigers Squadron during WWII and are still going strong today with the USAF.
